Almost 30 years has passed and Gösta and Gun are retired. This summer, the journey to his son's wedding in Gösta's newly purchased motorhome. Gun really want to fly, but finally agreed to take the car and Gösta promise to not rush up, but the trip should be quiet. Of course, it will not be so, instead it is turbulent encounters with the hungry giraffes, violated the greasers, obstinate grandchildren, and, not least, a rat with a taste for the camper Interior.

After taking a bullet to the head, Salander is under close supervision in a hospital and is set to face trial for attempted murder on her eventual release. With the help of journalist Mikael Blomkvist and his researchers at Millennium magazine, Salander must prove her innocence. In doing this she plays against powerful enemies and her own past.
