Rumble in the Bronx (1995) follows the story of Keong, a man from Hong Kong visiting New York City for his uncle's wedding. Keong's uncle owns a market in the Bronx, and Keong offers to help out while his uncle is on his honeymoon. While in the Bronx, Keong befriends a young neighbor and takes it upon himself to protect the market from local thugs causing trouble.
As the story unfolds, one of the thugs in the neighborhood gang becomes involved in a criminal situation that exceeds his capabilities. Driven by greed, his actions drag the gang, the young neighbor, Keong, and the entire community into a dangerous conflict.
