Charlie Rogers is a leather-jacketed biker who's fired from a singing engagement after getting into a fight with a group of college toughs. While ridi...ng his cycle to the next gig, an irate dad runs him off the road when he flirts with his daughter. He's forced to hook up with a traveling carnival until his bike can be fixed. The carnival is run by a tough old broad, a broken-down drunk and his nubile daughter. In the movie Roustabout from 1964, viewers are introduced to Charlie Rogers, a rebellious biker who gets fired from a singing gig after getting into a fight. On his way to his next performance, he crosses paths with an angry father who causes him to crash his motorcycle when he flirts with the man's daughter. With his bike in need of repair, Charlie is left with no choice but to join a traveling carnival until it can be fixed.

The carnival is managed by a tough older woman, a former alcoholic, and her attractive daughter. As Charlie continues his journey with the carnival, he begins to learn about the importance of family values despite growing up as an orphan and carrying a chip on his shoulder.

However, trouble arises when a rival carny, inspired by the legendary Colonel Tom Parker, plots against the carnival. This leads to conflicts and challenges for Charlie and the rest of the carnival crew as they fight to save their livelihood.
