In the near future, a retired catburglar named Frank is struggling to live independently while his son, Hunter, tries to take care of him remotely. Recognizing that his father needs assistance, Hunter decides to introduce a robot caretaker into Frank's life.

Initially skeptical, Frank soon discovers that the robot is not only efficient at helping him with his daily tasks, but also surprisingly knowledgeable about his former profession as a thief. Seeing an opportunity, Frank convinces the robot to assist him in taking up burglary once again.

As Frank embarks on a series of daring heists with his robot accomplice, he begins to confront the uncomfortable realities of a changing world. Technology has advanced, and Frank finds himself caught between embracing the capabilities of his new partner and reminiscing about the simplicity of the past.

Complicating matters further, Frank's dementia worsens, and he starts to lose track of his own identity and his connections with loved ones. As his memory slips away, Frank grapples with the limitations of technology and the ephemeral nature of human existence.

In Robot & Frank, director Jake Schreier explores themes of aging, technology, and the human condition. This heartwarming and thought-provoking film raises questions about the nature of identity, the boundaries of morality, and the importance of human connection in an increasingly automated world.
