In the romantic comedy film My Best Friend's Wedding (1997), Julianne Potter, a successful food critic in her thirties, discovers that her best friend Michael O'Neal is getting married in just three weeks’ time. This news devastates Julianne, as they made a pact years ago that if they were both still single by the age of 28, they would marry each other. Determined to win Michael's heart before it's too late, she embarks on a mission to break up the impending nuptials.

Julianne sets out to sabotage the wedding plans of her old friend, Kimberly Wallace, who is set to become Michael's bride. With the help of her confidante George, she concocts various schemes to create doubt and tension between the soon-to-be newlyweds. Julianne's plan takes an unexpected turn when she finds herself developing feelings for Michael's charming and wealthy editor, Dermot Mulroney.

As the wedding day draws closer, Julianne finds herself caught in a web of love, jealousy, and self-discovery. Will she confess her true feelings to Michael? Or will she succeed in breaking up the wedding, only to realize that her own desires were misguided?

Directed by P.J. Hogan and featuring stellar performances by Julia Roberts, Dermot Mulroney, Cameron Diaz, and Rupert Everett, My Best Friend's Wedding is a heartwarming and hilarious tale of love, friendship, and the importance of letting go of the past.
